About the Study

Researchers in the Endocrinology Division of the University of Chicago are conducting a research study to look at links between home sleep duration/habits and measures of diabetes risk in adolescents.

Eligibility Criteria

You may be eligible if you are 13-17 years old.

What will I be asked to do?

The study involves placement of an IV, blood draws, an oral glucose tolerance test, using light to study tissue under skin, and overnight night sleep study, home sleep monitoring and possible sleep duration changes and sleep education.

Study visits will take 3-20 hours; the study involves between 2-5 visits total. You will be compensated for your time.
