Grant, a Nurse Practitioner, has gained experience over the last ten years at Rush Medical Center, Walgreens Take Care Clinics and at Radiant Research in Chicago, where she worked as a Co-Investigator on several clinical trials related to diabetes and other conditions. Grant managed study conduct, product development and centralized patient recruitment services to support the biopharmaceutical, medical device and consumer product industries.
Building on years of clinical and research experience, Grant is hoping to bring energy and vision to Kovler in her new role. “It is exciting to build on the rich history of research at University of Chicago and continue to translate research into new ways of treatment and management of diabetes with new tools.” By creating a more streamlined and uniform program for the initiation, management and development of sponsored and investigator-initiated diabetes clinical research, the Section of Adult and Pediatric Endocrinology, Diabetes and Metabolism will partner with Kovler to create a comprehensive path for pharmaceutical and device companies who seek new diabetes partnerships and for investigators who are interested.
Grant appreciates the outstanding work that Kovler does not only in research, but in clinical care, education and community engagement. “The Section of Adult and Pediatric Endocrinology, Diabetes and Metabolism and the Kovler Diabetes Center are uniquely positioned to leverage strengths and reputation to develop a robust platform for translational and clinical diabetes research activity.”
An avid runner, Grant is happily married and resides in Chicago.
